Cultive Cannabis Laboratory | Fazenda São João

São João, Itu, Brazil

2025

Cultive Lab, a Brazilian nonprofit focused on medicinal and educational cannabis use, proposes expanding its work at Fazenda São João in Itu. The property’s large green areas and existing agricultural infrastructure make it an ideal site for controlled cultivation and research.

This architectural proposal introduces three integrated structures — a laboratory, a greenhouse, and a social pavilion — conceived as a connected ecosystem rather than isolated buildings.

Laboratory — A space for analysis, processing, and product development, designed for safe, traceable, and rigorous operations.

Greenhouse — A climate-controlled environment optimized for efficient water use and cultivation at every growth stage.

Social Pavilion — A flexible structure for workshops, training, and educational activities.

Together, these elements create a cohesive architectural platform that integrates research, production, and community engagement within the landscape of Fazenda São João.
