Modern Mirage is a photography book depicting Casa do Baile, an iconic architectural work in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The series, photographed by Paul Clemence, artfully captures the interplay of Oscar Niemeyer’s modernist architecture and Roberto Burle Marx’s landscape design. The book not only catalogs Clemence’s dreamlike images but also documents the installation at the Casa do Baile itself.

I collaborated with Paul on the design of the book, which launched at @initiallabo in Paris, France. I developed the book’s layout, and overall design approach to highlight the dialogue between architecture, photography, and installation shots.
